With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we want to highlight all that Medicine Hat has to offer locally and outdoors. Take this opportunity to plan a staycation and explore local!

Get lost in a corn maze

Venture outside of Medicine Hat on a short road trip and get lost in a corn maze! Walk through corn stalks that tower over your head in an activity that is family and physically distancing friendly. Head on over to the Lethbridge Corn Maze for a hockey-themed corn maze, in addition to their petting zoo and playgrounds just two hours away. One hour away is also Brooks Corn Maze, which also has pick-your-own berries! Most corn mazes are open until the end of October, so make the most of the season while you can!

Support local at the Harvest Takeaway event

Do some good this harvest season by ordering a soup kit on October 3 that supports local food producers and donates to a good cause. The Mustard Seed non-profit has partnered with local chef Carl Augostino of Shooting Star Events, South Country Coop Medicine Hat and local food producers to put together a Harvest Vegetable Soup kit - a local meal kit that will help support food insecurity in Medicine Hat. If a hot bowl of soup and a mini-farmers market is your idea of a fun Saturday, check out more on the Harvest Takeaway event page
