CP Holiday Train

Mark your calendars! The Candian Pacific Railway Holiday Train is rolling in to Medicine Hat on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019. This a truly festive annual tradition, where you can watch train cars, bedecked from floor to ceiling with holiday lights and decorations, pulling into Medicine Hat for a show. Catch the train at Queen and North Railway St. at 4:15 p.m., and stay for live musical performances from Meghan Patrick, Tanika Charles, and Kelly Prescott from 4:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. It is a delightful way to spend a special afternoon with family and friends. Country Christmas

Are you in the mood for a country Christmas? Take a short trip to the Gem of the West Museum in Coaldale, Alberta to see live performances from Lethbridge’s rising country stars: Alyssa McQuaid, Cody Hall, Eric Braun, and Amy Allred. They will be performing Christmas classics alongside original music from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Come and lend your support to local artists and spend the day with family and friends listening to amazing seasonal sounds. Buy tickets in advance online!

New Year’s Eve Fest

If you are bringing young ones along with you, spend the afternoon of December 31 at the Family Leisure Centre (2000 Division Avenue N) for New Year's Eve Fest where the kids get to celebrate the upcoming new year in their own way! For a $2 admission, they can skate, swim, play floor hockey, battle in Nerf wars, watch classic movies on a big screen or bounce around on inflatable obstacle courses and jumping castles. There's even a New Year's countdown and ball drop at 3:45 p.m. The fun starts at 12 p.m. up until 4 p.m. leaving plenty of time for a second celebration ringing in the new year at midnight.
